Veerey Di Wedding is all about friendship that goes beyond life. It is one of the most awaited films but to be very honest, it’s disappointing!
Plot:
It is the story about four friends and their complicated lives. Kareena is about to get married to sumit vyas but developes a sort of a cold feet before the wedding as she doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage thanks to her parents. Sonam Kapoor is in search of the right guy to get married. Swara is a badass in the film but again, even she suffers from her broken marriage and is often seen as being taunted by her neighbour aunties in the film. Shikha is married, has a son but her father has abandoned her because she married a foreigner! All the four characters are seen pulling each others leg and making fun of their decisions in life & supporting each other in the film.
Performances:
Sumeet vyas and Shikha are outstanding in the film. Shikha makes you fall in love with her because of the shear simplicity of her character. Kareena, Sonam and Swara are strictly average in the film. Other supporting cast of the film has also done a fab job!
Music:
I honestly liked just 2 songs in the film-veeray jind vakhri and tareefan! The backgroung score is poor too.
verdict:
Honestly speaking, I was excpecting the film to be high on humor but there is a very little scope for that. The depressing storyline and their problems make it a bit of a snooze fest.
Yes, there is a lot of glamour in the film and a few scenes will drop your jaw but it adds very little ti the story of the film. Editing is poor.
At best, the film can be a one time watch ( that too if you can fast-forward a few scenes and songs) . 2.5/5 stars!
