But it just goes to show you that everyones skin is different. Well I would like to share my experience with this product.
Why did I buy this product?
I bought this product because several years ago, I developed an allergic reaction to another hair removal cream Nair. I have used Nair for years but ever since they increased the hair removal time to about 4 minutes, it has been h#ll on my skin. I looked at the ingredients and I noticed that it contains shea butter. Its not much, but I was willing to try anything. I hate using razors to shave because it irritates my skin too much. Plus it doesnt last that long IMO. I selected the sensitive skin formulation to be on the safe side.
Alternate brands I considered?
I have considered Sally Hansen depilatories and various wax kits, but I was unwilling to go the wax route yet. Plus most of the depilatories contain similar formulations of Nair, so I didnt want to risk the pain.
My usage and results?
Since I am not that hairy, I use this product occasionally. I usually shower first with a gentle soap or gel cleanser. This helps make the hair softer when I apply the cream. I leave it on for about 5 minutes or longer for the coarser body hair like the armpits. I rinse with luke warm water and a clean white washcloth. Granted it does leave a residue, but it usually goes away after you take another shower, which I dont recommend before eight hours. When I use this to get rid of the armpit hairs, I do not apply deodorant at least 16 hours or so, or else you will experience the burning of your life. I havent experience any skin irritation yet, but I dont use it often or else I might develop an allergic reaction akin to Nair. It does have that typical depilatory smell but it isnt that strong and it usually wears off in due time. I would also advise that you dont use a scrub before or after using this stuff, salt or sugar. Wait about three days or so.
Who should or shouldnt buy this product?
Honestly it depends. I have sensitive skin but I had no problems using this product at all. In fact, when I was on vacation, a friend of mine wanted to use it to shave her boyfriends back so he go shirtless without shame. It didnt irritate his skin. But then there are folks like an associate of mine who can barely have it on her hands because it eats away at the skin of her hands. So it is basically on a person to person basis. I would suggest to those who had a bad experience to other depilatories, use with caution if you even bother to use it at all.
