A Saturday Night... after a sweltering summer day we were set to go to a place I had never been before. It was 11 in the night, we drove out and reaches Tardeo in a jiffy. We were at Filmcenter. We made our way through the artistically designed way to Velocity. We were stamped on the hand for which we had to pay a whopping 800 bucks (cover charge ... phew!). Enter inside and my... the view is too good.
AMBIENCE: Good in every aspect. Never have I seen a dancefloor so huge. Not to mention the crowd... amazing - quality and quantity. The amazing thing about velocity is that the amount of space available and the uniqueness of the setup. The sides of the dancefloor are used up to sit and enjoy the cocktails and the dancers. Both sides at the end of the floor there are steps leading to the first floor. According to me the first floor is where the real action. All of the first floor overlooks the dance floor. The best seats (rather stand) are always up there (balcony)! Of course there is seating also at the sides. But one would prefer to stand and drink and watch. Velocity also has two different areas within its premises. One is only for members while the other is called RPM. MUSIC: The music is pulsating, mind-blowing, loud, happening and all the better adjectives related to it. But the clincher is RPMs music. RPM plays the best blasts from the past. The music from 70s to 90s at its best. Its guaranteed that if you are going to have a rocking time its at RPM.
COCKTAILS: The cocktails at Velocity are really worth a mention. Because never have I seen the mixes that these guys offer you. My favourite is Smi...off, and having it with black currant flavoured ice was the best thing that could happen to me and the vodka. Thats all guys... see it to believe it. And if you have seen it, visit again. Chill.
