I read Jackie Collins a lot not because she writes raw . She is a feminist who believes in the power of Feminism. She thinks that a woman’s work is not just to satisfy her husband in bed only. It is far more than that. She writes about this issue in all the novels that I have read. In fact I have become a passionate fan of her.
In this book, Vendetta: Lucky’s Revenge the writer has written about the conflict between two women belonging to Santeangelo and Bonatti family. Lucky is the main character of this novel who hails from holywood family and her counterpart hails from Sicly. Lucky was a happily married with a very handsome actor till she hears of her husband’s . She suspects of foul play regarding her husband’s when suddenly her studio gets taken over by her arch rival Lucy Bonatti. Then she takes the help of her close friends especially her assistant and regains back her Panther studio. Everyone is happy in the end when Lucky’s husband returns back to his wife.
The story has many important characters like Alex who loves Lucky dearly and even succeeded in talikg her to bed once. That experience was very thrilling for both of them which s in their mind. This was a time when Lucky thought her husband was a cheater and she did it with revenge. Then she comes back to her senses and resolves not to do it with a guilty conscience. But alex thinks otherwise.He is really in love with Lucky who never reciprocates his feelings. Alex has a live in relationship with a Tiwanese called Tim Lee. He uses her only when he needs her in bed and does not have a satisfying relationship. He is just mad over Lucky and she thinks him as her friend. She has a very good friend Venus who is a famous hollywood star. She is married but suddenly both of them are separated. She sleeps with many men and eventually realises that it is her husband who is her destination and comes back to him. She even asks him to give her a baby in one of their passionate love making scene. That is another part which I liked in this novel
Thus its a novel worth reading!!!!
