THIS FEEDBACK IS FOR VIBGYOR HIGH BANGALORE ON THEIR SUMMER CAMP.
I had a bad experience with the school during the recent summer camp, from 11th April 2011 to 29th April 2011. The activities included in the camp were very good and no other school was offering similar activities. I was looking for more physical activities for my kid, selected the school for summer camp as it was offering swimming, skating, dance and lots of other physical activities/games.
The camp was for 15 days. When I went there to register my kid, they looked very professional and very much organized. The horror begin on the first day of the school. The scheduled driver who was suppose to pickup my kid, refused when I called him saying this is out of the way for him. I spoke to the transport coordinator, who spoke to another driver and arranged for the pickup.
The kids reached 30 mins late, well I thought being first day it could happen. But, to my surprise, in the first week itself the transport list was changed four times, and every time it was changed we had to explain the pickup and drop points to the drivers, which was not a good experience. Summer camp is organized during holidays, what would you feel if the school is taking holidays during summer camp itself? Yes, thats what happened, out of 15 days 2days were taken as holidays.
So, ideally the camp was for 15 days, but in reality it happened only for 13 days, out of those 13 days, three days first session was missed because of transport delays, 1 day my kid did not attend the session because she could not find the kit which was left in the school day before so she missed the session again, 1 day my kid did not attend the second session, dont know what and when I asked they cooked up some story. So ideally my kid attended the camp realistically only for 11 days. They charged Rs. 4000 for the camp and Rs.700 for the transport. I think it was waste of money and waste of time, my kid did not learn much of swimming in these days, all she would say is the instructor gave them a dip in the pool one by one and that was the activity for most of the session.
I think they are purely money minded and does not have any standards. This experience is purely based on the summer camp. I was looking at admission in this scool initially, but the fees (1lakh+ every year) was very high and hence decided not to admit my kid in that school.
