PLEASE MUST read this videocon issue for awarenes.

Can you believe it! I gave the same (BELOW) complaint on april 2010 first time. And today 5th Dec, 2010 one videocon service guy came again and gave a temporary fix. He himself told that parts for this washing machine is not available. The original parts itself are of poor quality. If you face the problem again, then sell this machine machine at a lower price 40% and buy a new one.


Can you believe it! if you want to talk to me on videocon products please feel free to call and ask all about it on - 8123437582. Videocon service guys are so poor technicians and also videocon doesn’t take care much of its


warranty things. When my machine is under warranty why can’t you get the original parts, and if the


original parts are defective then why don’t you replace my washing machine!


SHAMELESS Videocon!!!!


Also please note that through email your chances of lodging a complaint to videocon customtakeouter care is 5% only. It means if you write 100 mails to videocon, then videocon will reply at max 5 times and simply saying " Our team will look into this as soon as possible " - something like this. Thats all!!


NEVER rely on mails to contact videocon. Its useless.

Dear Sir,


I, Ravixxxxxxx, had purchased your semi automatic videocon washing machine


last year on 24th May, 2009.


The washing has a warranty for two years. I got a fault with the draining system of the washing machine


within one year ( roughly end of March, 2010 ). The drainage knob is so hard to turn that it works for 2-3 times and then gets broken. It is like the drainage mechanical system is very very hard/jam so this problem occurs.


Since then 7-8 times I have complained in customtakeouter care but service person comes and gives a fix which not a solution but a temporary work around. Every time they replace the button (some other model’s button)and


it gets broken within 10 days and I need to call customtakeouter care. (Note for readers- They don’t charge for button. But they will ask for a photocopy of bill which you may negotiate that it is not available and they may agree to replace parts.


Is it required? shouldn’t they inform this on phone when you put the issue to customtakeouter care? In this way my second year of warranty will also get over soon and then I need to do a paid service. This kind of service from reputed company like videocon is not expected. If this problem cannot be solved, then I want REPLACEMENT of my washing machine with a new one.


Otherwise, I would like to request that after any service within the warranty period, the WARRANTY PERIOD SHOULD BE EXTENDED BY ANOTHER TWO YEARS FROM THE DATE OF SERVICE. The meaning is that the washing machine should at least work during 2 years of warranty without any problem or request.


In around 1992( I was a kid), we had purchased a videocon washing machine which served us for 9-10 years without any problem. But now it seems this reputation of videocon is fading away. Please resolve my issue in the best satisfactory manner as soon as possible.

Dear readers,


I will keep updating you all on the same track.


I would like to say that there is some warranty issue with videocon models


( I dont know currently have they rectified it ? ).


It will be written that you fill a card in booklet and send it through post to some address


and that should reach the address within 10 days from the date of purchase otherwise


your warranty will not be valid as per court of law. But this information is not given by


retailer at the time of purchase. The retailer will say the warranty service will be given like


other company products. Videocon do respond to the warranty and will give you service but


there is a loophole.


What if you are not satisfied with the service like me and would like to go to court for the same.


Since I have not sent the warranty post card though postal service, I am noteligible to ask


for warranty. Then why dont retailers tell you about this at the time of purchase?


videocon guys never came to me to give demo or clarify the warranty issue. I checked it


when I faced the problem.
