The machine started making a loud, harsh noise during operation two years after we bought it. The Videocon service agents in Coimbatore told us the bearing needed to be changed. They took it away and brought it back after two days, saying that it was fixed. However, the delivery man told us NOT to run it for one hour, so we couldnt test it.
When we tested it next day, the machine leaked water all over the floor. When we called the service agent they came and said that a rubber part of some kind had failed. They finally changed it after ten days, taking full payment, despite the fact that when they delivered the machine after taking it to the workshop they told us not to run it.
The machine still leaks water occasionally and we have to use it at under full load.
The bearing is one of the crucial parts of the system and a failure of these so soon points to poor build quality. The quality of service is also suspect if they deliver products after repair and dont allow users to test the product before accepting delivery. The time taken to respond can only be called shameful.
