I had just passed out from this college ( Extc 2017 batch) and who can be a better person to review it than me given that nothing can hold me back from giving a honest review. The college has a decent infrastructure now ( it’s been renovated recently) . Altough not too long before the infrastracture was in very bad state( as reviewed in stupid sid and other review platforms) . Be it messy toilets, broken floorings or leaking walls.yes all of them were true. Though the classrooms remains to be in the bad state. There are no amenties whatsoever expect a small gymkhanna area where u can either play carrom, table tennis or chess for that matter. Though they do have outdoor sports materials like footballs and badmintons but the gymkhanna would never provide you that on pretext of they are only meant to be used for events. The canteen is nothing more than a local poli bhaji kendra given that it is operated by a mahila mandal. Every department has got decent labs ( atleast EXTC department has got all up date to practical kits) . IT and Comps departments have got a good rapport both in grades and extra curicular activites thanks to their faculties who ensures that. Probably they make the most active crowd for any college events. Civil department is the most linenant department if rumours are anything to go by. Extc department is the cruelest department of this college. Yes! I am a victim of it.the faculty of extc department ( which is quite old) play threaten to maintain the discipline policy. They usually take a pride in saying it as well. The attendance needs to be strictly maintained here failing which your parents are called. The department usually black lists a student and makes sure he suffers in his practical exams. Now some might think its all worth it beacuse the college has a good placement record. Well the truth is placements were indeed good for Extc and Mech department but majority of companies that hired students were IT companies. Now this was again a past thing, recently I have heard from my EXTC juniors that the placement has been dropped severly ( only 8 students got placed so far) and might dip further for the next batches too ( For all branches) . The IT & COMPS placements remains good.Almost 60 percent of students ( combined) if not all gets placed. The college has a cultural fest named ZEAL which goes on for 3 days. Students usually enjoy this 3 days to the fullest. The best part of this event is the metal band competition named OCTAVES. Though there are rumours that college has been refusing to fund this particular event almost every year due to ununderstandable cultural and bad crowd management reasons . But somehow the concerned committee convinces them every year and ofcourse fill the funding gaps by appealing it to sponsors if there are any. Apart from this committee hosts an annual sports festival.
