Update 18jun14 - Usual game that such dealers play is to tire the consumer out by phone conversations as well as expect that consumer will need the resolution fast. I am prepared for both eventualities and can take the longer route. Interim, my claim for delinquency in service at Rs 150/- per day continues.
Also guidance for readers - once you have escalated issues into writing and filed online social media as well as formal complaints. DO NOT initiate any telephonic or personal contacts, because it is very easy for them to complain that you are doing this and that. Let them contact you. This is important.

Vijay Sales Lajpat Nagar promises a lot, but delivers below expectations, main attitude is once the payment is done, thats it.
They have a good range, prices can be discounted, parking is better than other locations. Salespersons are good, and after that it is downhill all the way.
# The payment process is very slow.
# The receipts and bills issued are printed on thermal paper which will vanish/become invisible in 2-3 weeks
# Delivery ic cock-eyed. We purchased two new air-conditioners. One was delivered in 2 days, the other took 8 days to be delivered, and the serial number for the 2nd piece was much older.
# Installation was a nightmare and we had to escalate the issue to the manufacturers as the Vijay Sales people have absolutely no concern after the sale. Apart from a variety of call center people calling up.
# The stabilizer suggested and provided turns out to be a totally useless piece of equipment from a company called SAFESTAB.
At the end of the day, manufacturers are putting their reputations at stake with such dealers, and National Panasonic are better advised to be careful about where they place their products for sale.
Avoid this dealer unless you are able to instal and maintain what you buy yourself.

Update 16jun14-one of the two ACs is not working because the SAFESTAB stabiliser is faulty. Independent engineer confirms that the SAFESTAB stabiliser is not safe. After a month of sending emails and geting time-pass type phone-calls from Vijay Sales, no point talking to them or going to their outlet in Lajpat Nagar, new Delhi.
I therefore filed a Consumer complaint with CORE vide complaint No. 94031.2.2014 at 1307hrs on 16jun14
"Complaint is about PANASONIC Air Conditioner bought through dealer Vijay Sales in May 2014 just a month ago. When buying an air-conditioner, we were made to buy a voltage stabiliser at additional cost, which was then installed by Panasonic authorised agency. Voltage stabiliser povided is SAFESTAB non-ISI marking and non-fucntional causing sparks. PANASONIC, VIJAY SALES are passing the buck to each other."
"Air conditioner is not working
Stabiliser is sparking
Fuse is blowing
Whole transaction is useless in hot summer months!"
I also demanded Rs 150/- per day as compensation.
At 1738hrs I got a phone call from 011-66660100 saying " come to shop and take refund" as though I am a beggar or what?
Shall update.
