Gurdas Maan is truly the king of Punjabi Music... no doubts.... many came, sing and go away ..... but this man from Punjab will come everytime and make you feel to say like Punjabi Music is such a treasure for us ..... lyrics touch our soul.... we (Atleast me ..!! )relate to the songs.... feel good, bad ....atleast we feel the song.....!! Nice Job Done by Gurdas man’s again .....
Gurdas Maan is back with Vilayatan (Sounds like he is back home with some one from abroad...!! )..jokes apart .... but soul-touching lyrics and music from his new album is a real winner ..... nicest collection of songs after quite a time now...
all songs are beautiful composed and sung....a new genre infact rejuvenation of Gurdas maan’s old genre can be seen (heard) in Vilayatan...... !!
Song which I like most is ’’Ishqe Di Maari’’..... I feel like I am listening to Rock...so enthralling I was when I listened first time....lyrics are just great to say the least... if you r not ready then read these : ’’Jeh Sajjna de sajjan baniye .... sajjan banke rahiye...’’; ’’jedi aankh naal padhna see ohh jogi de naal ladd gayi’’; ’’aakh saade jogi de....aakh saade yaar di....sabhaali ho gayee’’; ’’assi manayee id yaar deya kadma vich sar dhar ke’’; ’’Main ekko gutt peettee ke tasalli ho gayee’’..... ohhh man...I love it....so will you...so listen to this song...it’s different, traditional .....music in this song is traditional Gurdas maan’s music..
Then listen to vilaytan .....title track .... it is a funny song which portrays the story of a Punjab from village who fly’s to Vilayat after marriage and share’s her experience (Pain ... to be true...) she explains funny things like Mem’s calling her Aunty.... witty remarks by them.... but she is enjoying that as she found indo-pak together in abroad(A dream for most of us ....) , chciken+liqour’s cheap rate’s and wide availability (again funny ....!!)....
Here comes the heart-winner....’’Bass Rehan de chedd na ’’ .... wow...a sad song ... this man is unbeatable guys ..... he sing’s so well.... music will be just right....lyrics...dont ask me...take this : ’’koi daag mitavan yog nahi ... koi daag mitaya nahi jaana..’’... Long Live Gurdas Maan....
Next is ’’Haye Mera Dil ...yeh kaha kho gaya’’ a typical hindi+punjabi song by Gurdas Maan....lovely lyrics and offcourse well sung by him..... ’’Bekadraan naal pyar’’ ...hmmm good one ...’’Sarbans..’’ cheer-up song I can say ...!! good one by default....’’Punjabiyaan di ’’ --- fine again...!!!!!!!!

Take my word for this and buy Vilayatan right now...u will not regret infact u will treat it as a treasure just like Punjab and Punjabi’s treat Gurdas Maan...!!
He is a great and will remain so .....!!
