Spent 2 nights during dussera holidays 2008.
Chanced upon this place through Internet. No regrets. Booking was prompt( can be done through -internet) . Check-in was breeze, room attenders are friendly and well behaved, location is one of the best.
We got only standard room as others were full. Standard rooms do not have views. There is noise early in the morning and in the evening from the road adjustment to the rooms were taxsi to adjacent hotels ply. Privacy is limited as it is located in the ground floor. The 24hr hot water remains a promise on paper as geyser swiches are located at some undisclosed location which only staff can access. However they get it in a bucket on request- not great considering the chill water in the tap.
What makes this place worthwhile is the location, next to Coakers walk, you have almost the same views of coakers walk. The "almost" is there because a solitary tree( with due respect to nature, it must stay there!) that comes in between the view of the valley and you. The small lawn in front of the reception is a great place to peacefully watch the valley.
Food is good, however since it caters to only residents, it has its limitaions.
