I assume that everyone is aware of the new Vim bar ad, the one with the plastic coating. Now, my hubby and myself wanted to test the bar. So we bought a bar from a Foodworld store and placed it on a container with half filled water and immersed the bar.
We waited for 8 hours (as per the ad) and to our surprise, the result we got was not like what was shown in the ad. Here are the flaws:-
1) The plastic coating peeled after 8 hours
2) The bar became soggy (because of 1)
3) The water wasn’t clear. The soap particles dissolved in the water.
4) Trust me, we couldn’t drink the water, like how the guy did in the ad.
So I sent an e-mail to HLL on the above. I also mentioned to them that the ad was not a safe one because if someone were to drink that water, I bet for sure he/she will suffer from stomach ache. Moreover, it was a misleading ad.
I got a reply after a very very long time. They mentioned to me that the reason for the above was that due to the transportation, some of the products might have been damaged and we, unfortunately, happened to have purchased one such damaged product.
I found it to be a lame excuse. Coz the product looked perfect when we unwrapped it from the cover. Who are they trying to kid?
