Last month, 28th March 2010, while moving from Delhi to Mumbai we had used the services of Vinit packers and movers( http://www.vinitpackers.com). That was once in a life time experience. We called couple of movers for the survey of goods. These guys were the cheapest one in terms of cost. Our first mistake was handing over all our goods to a person just because he was the cheapest in terms of price without checking the credentials, now it seems they are the cheapest in the service also.The marketing person, Mr. Vikas had promised a separate vehicle for our goods, delivery in 3 days and part payment on safe delivery.
On the packing day, the guys were late by 4 hours, we still didn’t bother thinking of Delhi traffic. Now arrived the packers, 4 guys who seemed more like daily wage labourers working at constrution site. unshaved & unkept wearing dirty clothes. none of them knew proper hindi, all were haryanvi’s speaking in native language. They started dumping the stuff, including expensive clothes, suits, sarees in carton boxes. This is what you guys call packing, ,
The vehicle arrived. I noted the number of the vehicle to ensure that the same vehicle reaches mumbai. The goods were loaded in the vehicle and the marketing guys Vikas started preparing the bill. Inspite of my clear understading with him that the price was inclusive of all charges except Insurance, he put number of charges including documentation, services charges, ST Charges etc. On questioning, his answer was’ Sir ye sab to hota hi hai’. when I told him that we had agreed on price inclusive of all charges except insurance, his very innovative answer.’ sir. all charges means charges for packing, loading, unloading and transportation, not service tax / octroi / other charges’
They are inefficient and dishonest packers and movers who have no regards of the commitments. In mumbai, they bought the goods in a different vehicle. On confrontation, they said that the vehicle has some mechenical fault so they had to change the vehicle and insisted that I pay the money before the goods are unloaded. I tried calling Vikas but in vain. He will not pick the call and these guys are threatening me that they would take the goods back if I don’t pay.
Vinit packers and movers( http://www.vinitpackers.com) are a hopeless bunch of inefficient, uneducated and insensitive guys who only aim to get a order at any cost. Don’t go by their words, promises and explanations. My advice to you all is please keep away from them.
