''A new Tiger is on prowl''

If Sachin is the next ’’Bradman’’, Sehwag is the next ’’Sachin’’, said a placard in the Kanpur match. To see someone bat like Tendulkar in front of Tendulkar is just amazing. At a point it felt like Sachin was batting at both ends.

Re-introducing Virendra Sehwag !!!

Ganguly’s poor form and a freak injury has become a blessing in disguise for the Indian team, for it gave the ’’Tiger’’ a chance to bat where he is most comfortable, top of the order. And did he grab the opportunity with both hands or what. A 51 followed by a blistering 82 had everyone at Kanpur rock like never before.

It was perhaps the most encouraging sign for Indian cricket for quite a while. And with Dravid and Laxman out Ganguly is sure to be pushed down to no.3 spot for a while now.

What is most amazing though is the range of the shots that Sehwag possesses. He is one of the few players who has a full circle range. His awesome power reminds people of Sachin when he began to open for India.

For Sehwag and for Indian cricket we all hope that this lad goes the Sachin way as far as reliable and agressive batting is concerned.
