Smiti Irani has realy done a wornderful work by producing Virudh. The Serial is refreshing change from 6-8 yrs old serials(though they were too good during those days sply Kyoki Saas.)

DJ Singhania(Vikram Gokhale) is a media tycoon who owns a renowned newspaper Dainik Darpan. He has only two aim in life, be a media magnet who can rule the world(his very first sentance to his editor in the serial) and to ensure that the legacy is kept alive by his adopted daughter Vasudha(Smiti Irani). Besides Vasudha she also has 3 more kids Vedika(Anchit Kaur), Vedant and 1 more daughter.
Each member have story of there own. Vedika has become alcoholic as her father got her lover killed. She is also knows that Singhania will not fall short of anything is anything comes on his way to attain what he wants. She also discovers that he has become a magnet only after a nexus with the minister Sinha Sahab.
Vasudha, who is a female Parshuram, has a small life of hers. She like to write books and is deeply in love with a journalist Shushant Sharma in Danik Darpan.
Plot thickens when Vedika finds out that Vasudha’s mother Shalini(Shushant’s mothers friend) was molested by Singhania. Rest is yet to come.
The plot is thick and full of surprizes. It doesn’t drag and stories are resolved very fast.
The best part is that it has the best performers that TV industry can boost of. Smiti Irani, Vikram Gokhale, Anchit Kaur, Aparna Mehta etc. Although Smiti has is both the producer and the heroine of the serial but she has the least presence among the leading actors of the soap. Anchit is definitely at her best and for a change its good to find her in the+ve role.
