I am using visa cards since long time. I never come across any security issues with it. I had used visa cards for atm withdrawal, at post, also for online shopping and ticket bookings for railways and buses. I never found any issue in transaction even on using at international atm’s while I was on a abroad trip. Bank charges a nominal annual fees for card. Moreover visa cards can be used on over millions of ATM’s across the globe and millions of merchants accepting Visa card payment at their outlet.
