Medical care standards today have fallen to the whims of commercialism and Vishesh is no different. The other way it is different is that it fleeces customers without offering them cashless treatment and that too exorbitant charges for minimum basic tests/diagnostics.
On top of that they end up billing the customer incorrectly - adding emergency charges where actually there is no emergency, and most often the customer does not notice this. Add to that the attitude of the staff, esp. Those who perform the key medical care like surgery assistance, dressings, ICU staff care two hoots about the patient conditions.
Specifically there are a couple of indivduals who technically assist surgery with some very known orthopaedics but who have no professionalism when it comes to attending to patients post operation.
Another caution about this service is that they do not disclose their rates properly. Only when an issue comes up they come up with their hidden clauses.
A. Emergency charges on X-ray services - after 8pm and before 8 am on weekdays
B. Emergency charges on X-ray services - after 12pm and before 8am on sundays
C. Bedside USG/ECG/2D Echo are charged as Emergency rather than bedside category
For diagnostic tests, if a patients condition is not such that (s)he can be taken to the specific rooms for tests, the hospital should NOT charge extra for bedside tests.
But this hospital charges that and at exhorbitant rates.
Nursing Staff is very unsupportive.
They are semi trained and none of them have complete knowledge.
They depend on the consulting doctors for prescribing medication but beyond that they have no clue in 60% cases why a specific medication is to be given. On asking them about any medication, they are as dumb as a dodo - this is a dangerous situation for most patients.
There is dearth of ward help, like daily cleanliness, changing of bedsheets etc. Availability of ward boys for patient care/hygiene. If you need a ward help for a bedpan, you will get that help 20 min after your need is declared.
Room rents are high, and there are no specific amenities that justify the high room rent. Comparatively, with a 2K room rent, one should get food etc. Provided, but here it is highway robbery.
Even the doctors fees is not less that Rs. 700/- per visit for an admitted patient.
All in all, a very average health care center but some very high profile doctors are attached with the hospital, so they attract patients who critically need such care but have to pay huge amounts for very minimal services.
