I saw Vivaah on first day with my wife and friends.Yesterday I sent other five members of my family to watch the film.Clearly, Vivaah is a complete family movie.
It touches your heart so deeply that you ought to cry while watching it.All my friends cried while watching it.Some of them cried even after the film was over.
What a fitting reply by Sooraj Barjatya to the very American Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna tells the audience to live life on ones terms.Vivaah teaches you to live life for others and sacrifice for others happiness.Sooraj Barjatya teaches you small-small indian cultures and leaves a permanant mark on you till the end.I felt the film was slow till interval.Even after that it does not have pace for 20 odd minutes. But after that the film completely outperperforms and leaves your eyes moist.Once the film is over, you realise how important it was for sooraj Badjatya to keep things slow till interval.Actually he develops the film and the indian traditions, values within you till interval and wins the match completely in the climax.Climax itself is of around 45 minutes. The whole cast gives the best performance in the the difficult emotional scenes in the end.The scenes look so real that you become part of the whole film.
I wont give you the details of the climax. You shuold go and watch the film instead.Amrita Rao has given her bestpeformance till date. You develop tremendous respect for Amrita Rao after watching the movie. She showed real emotions throughout the movie. All other characters have also given excellent performances.Watch out Alok Natch while signing the document.
It was a difficult subject to direct for Sooraj Badjatya because you see so many family stories in Saas-Bahu serials. But he handles the subject so well.Music of the film is boring. But the movie certainly has more aseets than liabilities.
Go watch it!
