Ive been using the vivo V27 Pro as my primary phone for the past year and a half, and overall, its been a reliable companion though not without a few hiccups along the way.
🔋 Battery Life
In the beginning, the battery performance was excellent. I could easily get through a day on a single charge, and the 66W fast charging was super convenient charging from 0 to 100% in under an hour.
But around the one-year mark, I noticed the battery started draining faster than usual. Now, at 1.5 years, the battery health has dropped to around 90%, and I lose a few percent even during light usage or standby. It’s manageable, but definitely not as solid as when I first got it.
📸 Camera
The camera still impresses me. The 50MP main sensor takes great photos, especially in good lighting. Low-light performance is decent, and the front camera is sharp perfect for video calls and selfies. For a mid-range phone, the camera has aged very well.
💻 Performance
Performance-wise, the phone has held up. With the Dimensity 8200 chip and 12GB RAM, Ive had no major issues with lag, multitasking, or even gaming. Apps run smoothly, and UI transitions remain snappy. It doesnt feel outdated at all in terms of speed.
📱 Display & Design
One of the standout features is the curved AMOLED display still looks premium and smooth at 120Hz. The color-changing back was a fun gimmick at first, but now I hardly notice it. Build quality is great, and the phone still feels sleek and lightweight.
📶 Software & Updates
Software is where things get a bit mixed. Funtouch OS has gotten better with updates, but Im still not a fan of the bloatware. Also, after the recent update to Funtouch OS 15, I noticed the haptic feedback feels off slow and less responsive. Ive actually turned it off now because it just feels weird.
That said, Ive been getting regular security updates about once a month which is nice.
🔈 Audio
If I had to pick one real disappointment, its the speaker. Its a single mono speaker and just doesnt deliver great sound, especially if youre watching content without earphones. For this price range, stereo speakers wouldve made a big difference.

Despite some wear and tear, Id say the vivo V27 Pro has aged fairly well. Its not perfect, especially with battery and haptic issues, but it still feels fast, looks premium, and takes great photos. If you’re not too picky about audio or software bloat, it’s a solid device even after 1.5 years.
