This is one software that I often use for playing video files. Be it videos or music you can play it. Quite often when a file does not work on windows media player, you can just try it on vlc.
It has all the standard video playing features. My favorite is the subtitle one, you can even disable a particular track or subtitle file.
One bad thing, however, is that you won’t be able to play the Blu ray files. Apart from that the interface is easy to understand and even navigation is quiet simple. I love the snap shot option the best, you can easily take a snap shot of any scene while watching a movie.
The software always keeps coming up with new updates, which often fix the bugs and have additional features. There is an option to play internet radio as well. Overall it is a really good software for playing audio or video files.
