Glycolic Peel treatment - BAD results

This is with about Glycolic Peel package I took at the VLCC Koramangala center. I went for a simple facial service. I do not have any other skin problem, my only concern was a light pigmentation around my mouth, so thought of consulting the service desk. There one lady pursuaded me to enrol for Glycolic Peel promising great results, even before I could decide on it she had already made the bill for 10 sessions, each session costing Rs 1050/-. To lure the customers they say things like "Actually its 1500 per session, but we are running a special 30% discount for you". Trusting the brand name VLCC and my earlier experience with them I paid them the money and enrolled myself.

After 1st session there was no difference, the attendant assured that results will start showing after 3rd session. But my skin started developing problems after each session; it became red and itchy. So, it clearly was not working for me, forget any improvement. Post 4th session I had a consultation with the(so called) Doctor and the branch manager. The Dr himself suggested that I need not go for any treatment as my skin is fine. But as I had already paid for 10 sessions n least they would agree to pay me the refund, the lady told that Glycia will be a milder option. I again took one session of that. Once you pay the full amount of any package, you are bound to experience degradation of services with each passing session.

All the sessions taken so far was to my utter dissatisfaction. So finally I decided to settle for the services I used to take earlier.

That was about the frustration part. Now about the effect of the treatments. Each session of this treatment lasts for 10 minutes. They clean your skin with cleanser, apply concentrated Glycolic Acid(Alfa Hydrolic Acid), keep it for 2 minutes, wipe your face and then apply ice. Basically the acid does nothing but removes the upper dry/dead cells from your skin and fastens the cell re-generation process. But your skin pores become wide open after that and they do nothing to close the pores. They prescribe the treatment for once in 15 days. But if your natural skin cells development is not that faster then it just eats up the upper layer of your skin making it very sensitive. My skin started developing pimples post the treatment.

I have been through it, now would say that one should NEVER go for any chemical peel treatment for the skin.
