I bought a 3g stick from vodafone after fetching a good amount of consultation from their representatives. I was told that the speed I would be getting will be around 3.5 mbps and they made me sunscribe to a plan touting unlimited internet.
Now after setting it up on my laptop, the first site I tried to open was google.com and there I was waiting for nice 3 mins to open. The service was so pathetic I couldn’t even browse small sites and hence I asked them to cancel my services. But I kept receiving bills of hefty amounts month after month and I ignored them since I was told that the service was cancelled.
After 4 months they sent me a court notice that if I don’t pay the money they will register a case against me. Ultimately I had to pay for the seevices which I did not even use. This was very wrong and pathetic act by the organisation which is so reputed and huge.
Hence I urge to the fellow citizens who want to get an internet connection, go for a broadband connection if you want it at home or try some other alternative brands if you want on-the-go connectivity.
This happend to me long back, now the service may have improved. But I thought of sharing this just to showcase the response and behaviour that I got from the vodafone executives that too in Mumbai.
