VI harassment to port out to other network

Trying to Port out of Vodafone Idea Network

The most harrowing experience if you want to port out from vodafoneidea to any other network. The vodafoneidea people are so unprofessional that they have chosen to shift me to prepaid when I put in a port out request!

I put in a port out request on 29th Nov at 746am.I got the UPC at 7.47 am that was valid upto 3rd Dec 2020. On the same day I went to the Jio operator and shared the UPC and received a message from Jio stating that the number mobility will be completed by 3rd Dec 11.55 pm and number will be activated on Jio network by 6 am next day.

I started getting numerous phone calls from the VI retention team asking me why I want to port out. I gave them the reason, they still insisted that shift to prepaid.we have improved our network etc etc. I clearly told each one that I need to port out, I donot want to shift to prepaid.

On 3rd Dec 2020 at 640 am I get an sms from Vi stating ‘your connection will be changed to prepaid within 2 hours.’.

I contacted the Vi office Manager at Nagpur, Mr Randhir, he could provide no reasoning or resolution. I have been constantly writing to customer care when finally one Ms Shubra gave me the email id of appelate.where I wrote to them.

The only people replying to the email are the customercare executives who ask the same question again and again and keep insisting that you recharge for 3 months and then port out.

The harassment caused by Vi negligence is not expressable in words.Constant phone calls from customer care saying that recharge or number will get deactivated. Nobody probably reads the email and they are forcefully trying to retain the customers.

It is my work related number which is inactive from last 1 month.oh ya, and the executives call on that number(though I have shared alternate number with them) and write in the email that we were unable to contact you on that number. No words to express the high quality ‘customer uncare’ that VI is offering!

Share this if you think you we should port out of Vi and save others the harassment due to the forceful retention policy of vodafoneidea.
