I have been a Vodafone customer for a long time and my average post-paid bill used to Rs.3000 - 4000 at one point. For the last few months, Vodafone has found a new way to increase their revenue per user - Charge them for 3rd party downloads and force the customer to accept them saying that they might have ’accidentally’ clicked a URL or link.
Some of the common ones are d2c_mgossip_pack49(Rs.49), deals_mydala_99(Rs.99). There are lot of others and the internet is full of such complaints. There is no way to stop these or unsubscribe. There is no way to tell Vodafone ’never charge me for 3rd party downloads’. Every month it is one or the other and there is no way to protest. Even if you have a 2 GB internet pack, they will charge extra.
It is extremely dangerous as there is no limit to what can be charged per month. Customer care as usual don’t care! I HATE COMPANIES WHO CHEAT YOU OPENLY MONTH AFTER MONTH!
