I agree with the reviews of others that Vodafone has all tricks to fleece its customers. I feel the sales boys and girls are trained with new techniques. unfortunately they do not realize that this is another British company like East India Company of history, training Indians to fleece Indians.
In my case, I tried to port out from post paid service due to poor signal and very high charges in-spite of low usage. The company tried all tricks and did not let me port out for three months being a post paid customer and charged me also during the period. Then, I gave up and switched to prepaid in Vodafone itself, so that my bill reduces, . They initially promised to transfer the deposit of Rs 500 into prepaid but later refused saying that it will delivered in 60 days.
Nevertheless, I accepted and carried on, hoping that after another three months I will be able to port out.
I had been to their store at Trimulgherry, secunderabad, on 08 Dec 17 being the billing date, as advised by them. I got a new SIM also . After 7 days I realized nothing happened, so I called up the call center and was told that the Girl who was attending to my request forgot to activate and hence further delay. I did not know then that this was also a game plan . On 8 Jan 18, I get a bill of Rs 410 for both Nov 17 and Dec 8 to 19 . That means they have played so well to ensure my deposit is not returned. They have also billed late payment charges.
Based on someone elses complaint, I checked the nos dialed and to my horror found that the numbers dialed from my second SIM have also been charged by them. This is just not acceptable.
I have been sending emails earlier, but the response is poor. I would like to approach the ombudsman if possible or go to consumer court. I think we have to start another QUIT INDIA movement .
