I have 2 sims-Vodafone and Airtel. Talking about my Vodafone number, it was issued in 2010. Until Jio came, Vodafone worked wonders. It was the best mobile operator in the market. I never even thought of switching to another operator until 2017.
After this free internet offered by Jio, other mobile operators also had to make their prices competitive. But vodafone did it at the cost of its quality. No wonder why Vodafone has dropped to only 27% of the market share.
The network is decent only at some particular locations, like it doesn’t work at all in my room and works fine in the next room.Sometimes I have to make whatsapp calls via broadband because the internet is even worse. Internet is even slower than 2G even though I pay for 4G. I have raised this concern with the Vodafone support associates but all I receive is a sorry for inconvenience.
I currently have done a recharge of Rs.599 on 1st June 2020 which is valid for 84 days. It gives me 1.5gb of 4G internet( completely useless) and unlimited talktime( which again works only in some particular places) .
Due to some business related reason I am not changing this number but with this kind of services, I am really looking to shift to another mobile operator. Anyone who is looking forward to issue a vodafone sim card, I would advice please don’t. Take Jio instead.
