ABSOLUTE HORROR

Hi


If you are wondering to get a new mobile connection and vodafone is on your wish lish then please read this review at least for once.


My horror story starts the next day I got my new connection. Earlier I have Airtel, I am not very happy with it but it is still better than vodafone.


This is the complete story:


On sunday 18/may/2008 I baught a new post paid connection from my neighbourhood retailer @ Rs 250/- for life time validity (Which stops within 3 days). Initially seemed a better deal.


On monday midnight (19/may/2008) I recieved a SMS that my documents are not updated and I was required to resubmit my documents to the Vodafone store in Ghaziabad. I read this SMS on tuesday morning (as I prefer sleeping in nights). On tuesday I went to the retailer to know the exact status. He told me that he has sent my documents on that day itself, and directed me to the Vodafone center. I went there in evening as I am a businessman and I have a lot of work to do apart from this mobile stuff. There Ms. Ekta told me that the Vodafone center is short on prepaid forms so I cannot recieve your documents. What a mess I thought, but the actual mess is yet to come. I ask her what should I do now. "Sir please go to the retailer we cannot help you" is the answer Ms EKTA give me.


On whole tuesday evening I tried calling the vodafone customer care cell but all in vein. When ever I tried calling them then either network busy message came or after 10 sec a voice came "Welcome to Vodafone. We are happy to help you". This is the only help I got that whole evening.


On Wednesday they cancelled my CLIP service and informed me that if I dont submit my documents in 24 hrs then my outgoing will be barred. I was furious but kept my cool some how. On wednesday morning I went back to the retailer to know what I can do. He gave me the No. of some senior Vodafone personnel (Himanshu if I am not wrong). He is a humble person. He told me that vodafone centre in ghaziabad will take your documents and if they refuse then call me. I went to Vodafone centre Ghaziabad. There I meet Mr. Manas with a tad "I am happy to help you" What a bull. (I am sorry to viewers to use these words). As expected he refuses to take my documents. Then I make a call to that senior person he ask me to give the phone to Mr. Manas. I dont know what they talk exactly but he took my documents on wednesday and informed me that my services will be resumed in 24 hrs.


On friday morning I found that my outgoing facility is barred. Can u believe it. A message stated that due to non submission of my documents my out going facility is barred and if I dont submit the documents in 24 hrs then my incoming will also be barred. Oh frustration at top level. The same morning I called the Vodafone C C. Some one pick the phone only to take my details and inform me that our system is under updation so I cannot answer you please call in one hour.


After two hour I called again then some one picked my call and after briefing my care to him he told me that this is the procedure and he can’t help me. If I don’t submit my documents then my incoming will also be barred. I told him that I have already resubmitted my documents to vodafone centre he says that it takes 48 hrs to update these information. I asked him to connect me to a senior person then


after 10 min of hault he informed me that his TL is not on the floor and he will call me. I obviously don’t expect him to call with all this mess.


On friday morning I went to vodafone centre. I said to him that I have already submitted my documents to you itself and I am not a terrorist or a decoit. At least resume my services and if you find any issues further then I am always available to you. Then Mr manas did something on computer and said that my services will be resumed in two hrs. The whole day passed but nothing happenned. I am having a mobile with no outgoing no CLIP so I dont even know who has called me. In evening I went back to Vodafone Centre and meet Mr. Manas he said sir you can see my system I have already forwarded your request. I said to him that I dont want to see his system. I want my case to be solved here and now. This time I am quite firm. He said I cannot do anything. I met their senior (Ms. Akanksha, or something). She heard my whole case. Do some calling, something on computer, came back to me and said your services are resumed and in future you wont find any problem. I am happy (for the time being only). One thing I also want to notify here (if vodafone people are listening), once when I visited the vodafone centre Ghaziabad during all these days, a person came from outstation and want a prepaid connection. Here is the communication I heard as he is standing beside me.


Client: Sir I need a prepaid connection.


CC: We dont have the form.


CL:Then where I can get it from.


CC: From the retailers.


Cl: If you dont have it then how could they have it


CC: That we dont know. We can only say that at present we dont have those forms.


CL: (Frustrated) U already sent me to a retailer and he dont have it. I am an outsider, pls. help me.


CC: Sorry we cant do anything.


CL: Is there some comformed place where I can get the form


CC: Sir you can get it in noida sec 18.


(People who dont know Sec 18 Noida is around 20 Kms away from their centre.)


CL: Are you sure


CC: Yes


The client left.


Ms. Ekta laughs at the client and says to his colleage "Yaar tumne usko Noida bhej dia"


They both jiggles.


These kind of Crooks are being employed by VODAFONE.


Well, back to my case.


Status on Saturday morning (the time I am writing the review). I received a sms informing me that if I dont submit my documents in 24 hrs my incoming will be barred.


I am still wondering what is going on with this company.


I am going to the Vodafone Centre for last time If my case is not settled then and there I am for sure going to media and Consumer Forum. I am a builder and recently launched a new project in Greater Noida. Without communication I am actually facing a lot of problem. These crooks cant even imagine how much I can claim on damage and mental frustration.
