I live in Bangalore and was enjoying Airtel since a long time. To save on my mobile bills and getting attrcated by the attractive rate plans of Vodafone I switched from Airtel to Vodafone in May 2009. I thought and bow firmly claim that switching to vodafone was the bigest mistake I did:
1) The Rate plan looks good but at the end of the month it will hardly make a difference of 100 bucks.
2) Network is pathetic. ’Error in connection’ , voice breaking, network busy are the mojor issues u face almost every day. Signal strength weak can still be accepted but not able to call due to netwrok congestion is something unacceptable.
Today I signed into mouthshut to write a review becoz what happened to me today can happen to you too.
I had a flight to catch in the morning at 5:00. I booked a cab and the cab driver was supposed to call me at 4:30 AM to pick me up. Almost every weekend I face a network congestion in Vodafone but today at 4:30 my cellphone displays ’Error in connection’ whenever i tried calling the cab driver and same was for that poor driver. He reached JP Nagar(My residence location) but unable to contact me and find my house.
My roomie who is again a vodafone victim tried calling .....and same error.
I have missed my flight and right now I am sitting at the airport and waiting for my evening flight.
Just to save a little ammount dont take risk of opting for Vodafone:
Flight missing is a small incident but mobile phone now being a major part of life should not be compromised with ....what if it was an emergency and we are unable to connect.....next thing I am going to do after coming back to bangalore on Monday is go back to Airtel.
