Wrong number got reactivated. Instead of activating my number +9196373xxxxx they gave me someone else’s number +9196377xxxxx. !!! Total negligence from wakdewadi, pune oVdafone care staff.
My Vodafone prepaid connection +9196373xxxxx was deactivated yesterday without any prior notice. When contacted customer care, they didn’t have any information on why the account was deactivated. So I had to go to Vodafone care for the same. I went to wakdewadi, pune Vodafone care and after spending an hour and bargaining with the staff, I came to know that the connection was deactivated since I did not submit the documents. But as I said there was no prior notice to know that I should submit the documents since I am using this connection for 4 years and this has been my single point of contact for all my business deals. This is totally unacceptable.
This incident incurred me a heavy financial loss as I was not reachable for almost 30 hours. Anyway I could get the connection reactivated by evening today after lot of requests. But again to my disappointment, all my offers and balances have vanished. I had recharged for 300 INR on 2nd June and I had a balance of more than 200 INR during deactivation. I had a 3G data plan of 375 INR till 11 June 2012. I had a sms balance of more than 1000. Now after the connection is reactivated, I am not able to use internet. There is no active data plan on my mobile. Nor there is any SMS balance and my account balance is mere 3 Rs. And when I contacted customer care, they gave me the information that this number is registered in someone else’s name. When i checked, i realized that the number that is activated and assigned to my sim is +9196377xxxxx instead of +9196373xxxxx .
I have registered a complaint and the complaint number is 11403410954. This is absurd and not expected from a leading service provider like Vodafone. This single incident is enough for me to move my connection from Vodafone. I used to recommend all my friends in Pune to take Vodafone connection. But since this experience, I would never recommend voadfone to any of my friends and I will make sure that as many people are aware of the same.
