Vodafone | Pathetic Customer Service

I am using Vodafone’s mobile services since 2001 and have 2 mobile numbers from Vodafone. In fact my first mobile operator was Essar that became Hutch and now Vodafone.

After Hutch being bought by Vodafone, the customer services have gone to dog. There is no response for your requests, the customer care executives drop the calls, don’t take down notes for the request etc etc.

The following link captures the details(and example) of the issue that I am facing and the pathetic response from Vodafone.

I am continuously updating the information on the above link as my harassment by Vodafone continues.

After bringing the issue to logical conclusion, I will summarize my experience here.

Also around 2 years back I had faced similar harassement from Vodafone. It was time when they were collecting ID proof documents from the existing customers. Dunno know what happened to the documents submitted at the time of connection!

After numerous requests, their executive visited my home to collect the documents But the documents never reached the concerned department. Meanwhile, the Vodafone did me a great honor. They put a reminder message every time I made a call. It took months to get rid of that message. Every time I called Customer Care they had the standard reply: We Can’t Help. The cute pug in their ad is a sham.

The customer services is a disgrace to the cute pug.

Updated on 04/05/2012:

Instead of solving the issue in an amicable manner, Vodafone stooped to a new low. They blocked my other number on 17.04.2012. Though there is no bill/payment pending for it. The reason they are citing is that we can block all your numbers if you don’t pay a bill on one number, even though that bill is disputed.

Their Nodal officers are very good parrots who sing the same official line. I have also written to their Appellete Authority but they are too busy to response.
