I have been thru this I dont want anybody to go thru this. When u opt for a a new connection or service plz be carefull about certain things. The billing cycle and the credit limit. I took a 3G USB stick connection on 18th of june 2011 from a Vodafone store in Mumbai, little do I know that 16days later my connection get blocked due to new bill cycle and the limit has been crossed.
All the while on my system the message said software has some issue. When I contacted the customer care they informed me I have super exceeded by Rs.8000. On the contrary my Credit Limit is Rs.1500.Apparently after following up with the store and with the customer care its clear that Vodafone does not have a mechanism to inform the customer how much they have utilized or whether they have exceeded the limit coz its only at the end of the month it reflects in their system. To give u clear picture on how much Vodafone charges for 1 GB of data i.e Rs.10, 000.
So if u hv taken a plan of 3GB technically u r free to use upto Rs.30, 000(unbilled amount) But here is the catch. if ur bill cycle is 4th to 3rd of every month and u took the connection 3days before the end of the bill cycle AND u downloaded 3 GB of data thinking u were told 3GB free usage u r mistaken . u will have to shell out approxx Rs.28000 for that particular month. YES PPL.THATS TRUE.
So plz dont fall in the pitt.this was an eye opener for me for my first hand exp with Vodafone.
