Deficiency in Service

I have taken a 4G connection of Vodafone a year back. My phone is also 4G. All the while I was under the impression, that I was getting a 4G speed. But of late, when I use my phone as a hotspot to work on the computer with the Vodafone 4G data, there is a lot of buffer on videos and web pages.


I called up Vodafone customer care two days back to enquire about the same.


To my surprise, the CCE told me that the place where I live, in Kolkata, does not have any 4G toweres, and I was getting 2G-3G speed.


On my enquiry, as to why so, when all the while I have been told by Vodafone that I would be getting 4G speed, the CCE, told me that there are no 4G towers near my residence and it will take tentatively 4-6 months for new 4G towers to be installed in this area.


Now, this is a total deficiency of service, and breach of contract on the part of Vodafone who are marketing their 4G sims but not providing 4G speed.


I am going to port to another service provider since its a blatant lie on the part of Vodafone to acquire the customer base.


Customers should take note of this and enquire from Vodafone if they are getting what they had signed up for.
