A LEGENDARY IRANI CAFE!!

I was looking for a place, not far form Pune station to enjoy a good evening snack. This was the first restaurant that opened up in zomato, and looking at the positive rating, I marched towards it.

After about 7 minutes of walk, I reached this place bustling with people. There were quite a few bunch standing outside the cafe. I hoped that I get a table real soon, and lucking there was an empty one, just for me! Smiling to ky fate, I sat down and took in the interiors.

Firstly, I went through a very small menu, and decided what I wanted to have. Then, a guy came in with a tablet in his hand, and took my order. I wasnt expecting the use of morden technology, at such an ortdinary cafe. And then, I was proved worng. This place, definately had a rich history behind it. There were awards bestoed upon this cafe by Burp, and Zomato. There were a couple of pictures of the owner of this cafe with celebrities like Salman Khan and Anupam Kher, and there was a borad too, which I think had something written about the origins if this place. I really wanted to read it, but couldnt due to lack of time.

Despite the fact that the resraurant, which by the way has seating upstairs as well, was completely packed, I was served my order within minutes. A warm glass of milk, a single cheese omlette, a double bread butter , and ofcourse a bun maska was my meal for the day. To be honest, none if the dish were photogenic, but I just could tell by looking at it, that I am going to have a great time!

The taste of cheese in omlette was quite prominent. Added with chopped onions and just a bit of spices, it definately made the dish truly delectable. Butter, on the bun pav , and bread slices was sperad free-heartedly. Dipping a piece of the bun maska, into a glass of warm, sweetned by sugar, milk and letting its taste, along with the smoothness of butter just melt in your mouth, is an amazing feeling altogether!

I was completely full by the time I finished everything on the table. I really liked the idea, of this cafe being one of the legendary cafes in the city, has adopted some modern means, like the use of tablets, to smoothen and make the entire process a little more hassel free. The service is also very efficient, and the staff knows how to handle the crowd. A real good cafe, and I had a great time in here. A perfect place to grab a bite, any time of the day. A limited menu actually helps you to decide further, and If you are a vegetarian than bun maska pav is the only option for you to enjoy, may be with a cup of special irani tea!

Happy Burping!
