AC is almost must for Chennai people to bear the hectic heat through out the year. After too much of research I bought Voltas Vertis Premium 1.5 T Split AC(3 Star). I got it delivered on the same day:) and got it installed the next day morning:) .
I suffered a lot the very first day after getting the AC installed:(
(Fuse blown for 2 times, MCB Switch used to switch off, Error code E5 on the display).
I am having low voltage problem in my house and therefore I already bought a Triple Booster stabilizer with my AC. So there is no Voltage Problem.
So I called Voltas Care and they send their people the very next day. But I dont know the reason how all these problems got rectified before any Voltas people can look into it. So I am very happy that the problem got sorted out. I am enjoying the chilled air of my AC and is almost happy about it.
I am telling almost since occasionally I am facing MCB auto switch off problem. And also the compressor used to auto off and on. Voltas people said that it will maintain the temp inside room and accordingly start and stop.
The other problem which I am facing is the AC is noisy. The outer unit makes noise every time the compressor will start and stop(Almost all AC used 2 make). I am having it on my terrace. The Voltas people said that its not AC fault. I have to fix it firmly. So I recommend to get the 2 angles and get it thorough fixed. I fixed it in a other way and now it is ok.
So finally I can say. Cooling is very good and customer service is also good.
Disadvantage is the noise alone.
Get the voltage problem fixed if u hv in ur house with ur AC by taking Double or triple booster stabilizer.
I can recommend this since I hv no other AC brand experience.
Adding on 1 Aug 2011:
After running my AC for more than 1 month, My Views are mentioned below.
The Sound which my Outdoor unit used to produce is decreased by almost 80%. Now it is Fine.
Error Code E5 is because of Voltage fluctuations which too is now coming only occasionally(Once in 15 days). I can restart my AC and then it will work fine.
Other problem which I was facing is the auto turn off of the MCB switch. Even this is also because of Voltage fluctuations and now it is no more existing.
Cooling is Superb as I am telling from the very first day. I have seen many AC’s like LG, SAMSUNG, Lloyd ETC. Among all Voltas gives the Best cooling.
So I can say if u r going to Buy an AC with a decent budget, u can go for it(My Personal Opinion).
