The part-II in the title of the movie waisa bhi hota hai part-II was confusing and mysterious and obviously made me curious! Did I miss a movie called, waisa bhi hota hai - part-I ? This is what came to my mind every time I watched the trailer. But, my love for bollywood would not have let me miss a movie so much to an extent that the name sounded unheard.
With the kind of movies coming out every friday in bollywood these days, somehow, I was in a dilemma to watch or not to watch, until a friend recommended it. So, with all the courage, here I was, watching waisa bhi hota hai, part-II.
Although the part-II suspense wasnt significant, I would highly recommend this movie if you like to watch a hatke hai worth while movie and not cry over wasting
yr time and money.
The movie starts with Puneet (Arshad warsi), copywriter in an ad agency, who breaks up with his girl Agni (Sandhya Mridul), who is a policewali. Being kicked out of her house where they were lived together, hes on roads, drunk, and ends up saving the life of a gangster, Vishnu (Prashant Narayan). In order to pay him back, Vishnu offers Punnet a flat to stay and they become good friends eventually.
Unknowingly and for no reason, Puneet gets involved in the Gang war between Vishnus boss Ganpat (anant jog) and the female don Gangu tai (Pratima Kazmi). The hilarious platonic and understanding maa-beta relation forced by gangu tai on Puneet, a lot of confusion, a heap of chaos, agnis entry in the whole drama, the
mockery on the system, makes the movie a good laugh.
Basically, the movie revolves around the two entirely different worlds of vishnu and Puneet. The friendship between Puneet and Vishnu connects these two realms in some way. May be, Love, Trust, Betrayal remain the same everywhere, no matter what form they take.
The movie displays some great performances. Arshad Warsi has done a brilliant job in the movie. I feel, he has a flair for comedy.
Vishnu. played by Prashant Narayan (the guy from movie chhal) is a very talented and promising actor. Pratima kazmi, who comes from theater, is hilarious.
The movie moves fast enough to keep your interest with minimum faaltoo stuff. Although, the movie cud have done without the sardars. Music score is ok with numbers like Sajna by Shibani Kashyap and Allah ke Bande.
Waisa bhi hota hai..is a directorial debut by Shashank Ghosh. I happen to read, he is the man who gave the popular and catchy Pepsi jingle Yeh Hi Right Choice Baby. Well, great work for a first timer.
Give this movie a chance, its a worth a watch.
Cheers,
Senorita.
