At the beginning of this film, I was excited...I love it when a movie starts off with pristine rich people who wear gorgeous clothing and charter planes for their 30 yr old kids. Anyway...this movie has Akshay Kumar, whose bad dancing is part of what makes a movie fun and amusing for me. I thought the role for Amitabh was interesting because he plays a father who desperately wants to spoil his overspoiled son and to maintain a friendship rather than a paternal relationship with his kid. Akshay plays a half brained loser son...very believably. We are spared a long love story with Priyanka Chopras character and fortunately they are married off quickly...to the shock and surprise of their parents. This film focuses on how these wealthy toymakers turn their overspoiled actor wannabe son into a self-responsible mature adult who can take care of his wife and child if the occasion calls for it. The movie stupidly makes this point by having Akshay (again stupidly) go into the stuntman profession in which he is willing to do life-risking acts in order to get money...(which indicates more stupidity than intelligence considering he has a pregnant wife). These scenes begin to look like film taken from the 70s. Then theres a lot of I hate him dialogue which grows old quickly. I never like revealing endings or important elements of a movie...so Ill leave it at that. There is some comic relief in the film for those who have experienced overdumb servants who are more work than they accomplish. And I liked Natu-bhai.
