The survival story between man and the ape, in line with the traditiond of the past has all the shots of being a blockbuster film and brilliantly resonates with its predecessors.
The story starts 2 years after the events of Dawn of the planet of the apes where the humans were threatened by the simian virus so they try to eliminate the apes. One of the main character ape Ceaser and his tribe who are living in the forest are forced to go to war by the surviving humans. Also his once assistant Koba have now joined the humans for revenge on Ceasar. When he comes to know that humans are planning to attack their home soon, he decides to move hos friends. But the night before they can get going, his home is attacked nland his wife Cornelia and son Blue eyes are killed by the brutal colonel. Angry and sad he and few others trace the colonel to kill the him.
This is where the war begins. The movie briallintly brings out the human attitude, fear and logic. It is conceptually brilliant and good to watch but never inspiring or provocative. The acting is brilliant. But the narrative a bit stretched in the 2nd half.
Unlike the past movies everyone except Ceaser lacks depth which make the movie 1- dimensional and card board thin.
The landscapes forests, avalanche and war fighting scenes are astutely captured and described, which definitely elevates the viewing experience. The word deliverance was a masterpiece.
This is movie which can be religiously viewed by anyone, those who know the past and those dont know it at all.
This movie can be watched by anyone, with anyone but not with children beliw the age of 14.
