Warangal is a serence n cool city wit fourth largest population in andhra pradesh an indian state.It lies 145kms north east of Hyderabad.Warangal is known for its granite quaries esply brown n black, grain markets(Rice n chillies), tobacco, cotton.Warangal was a hindu shaivaite kingdom ruled by kakatiya’s. the amazin part is the whoe city was carved under asingle rock ...so the other name is orukallu(oru-one;kallu-rock).


and in such a place wit wonderful hystry v hve few mre appreciable points....one of em is "thousand pillar temple"which is a fine art of kakatiya’s.it is star shaped and triple shrined.the foundation of this wonderful structure was built on water!...is nt tis amazing!!....


The temple constitutes of three shrines, where the presiding deitiesare Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Surya. As the name of the templereflects there are one thousand intricately carved pillars. Thesculpture of ’Nandi’ the holy bull of Lord Shiva, carved out of amonolithic black basalt stone has a glossy finish which is a splendidpiece of art. The Thousand Pillar Temple is constructed, on the slopesof the Hanumakonda hill, on a 1 metre high platform. Many small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva encircle the garden of the temple....


How to reach there:


Warangal is easily accessible by road from Hyderabad and Vijaywada. Regular bus service connect Warangal with Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.


Warangal is well connected with regular bus services to all places in the district and to surrounding like Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Nalogonda, Hyderabad and to all important cities in Andhra Pradesh.


No Air Services. The nearest Airport is Hyderabad.


Warangal is linked with all important cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Banglore, Kerala, Chennai, Calcutta, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jammu and many other states in India by Train Services.


isnt that amazing.....n the most wonderful part is it is immensly pleasure watching it wen it rains....pillars seem al around....n rain....WoW....amazing in jes thinkin....what if v really go n watch it??....
