Off of St.Marks road in the heart of the city a small sign with the word Waves peers out at you. If you dare to park and walk up to this place youve committed yourself to an Unforeseeable event. In 21 years of living in blore (5 of which were drinking years) I’ve never heard one straight comment about waves...no ones ever said it rocks! But then again no ones ever said it sucks either. Ive only dared to go there twice - the first time I found myself sitting downstairs sipping a 330ml bottle of KingFisher (why on earth I stayed to drink beer from a bottle and pay 30 some odd bucks I do not know) As I remember the decor of the place was nothing spectacular – in fact I do believe waves is one of the few places which doesn’t have a patron crowd. The second time I went there was truly exciting (as exciting as life could get for an eighteen year old).....a couple of my friends and I dared to go upstairs (hoping the ambience would be better) to our shock(delight!) we found a bunch of women standing around clad in skimpy garments..talking with a funny hindi accent...I distinctly remember one of them looking at us and saying yeh to bohuth choote hain we didn’t stay there long enough to figure out exactly what was going on but from the look of things we figured it wasn’t the place we wanted to be when the cops got there to bust their chops.
This isn’t really a review for or against waves.....if someone’s in blore and can figure out what waves is please do drop a line. I’m curious to know what I missed out on.
