CREED ... the great almighty ... they were first noticed for their debut album my own prison .. what followed was human clay ... were these albums any good ?? no they were not good .. they were GREAT. CREED was voted the rock band of the year by BILLBOARDS for two years in succession ... 1999 and 2000.
The rise of CREED was a matter of discussion and jealousy amongst every individual ... Weathered was the last album they created together... and believe me it is good ... the first song I heard of this album was my sacrifice. I was instantly drawn into it ... the opening guitar work by mark tremonti.... just engulfs your senses .. and then the sound of stapp .. will rob you of your abilities to do anything else but listen to that song..... my sacrifice was a sound track for the movie spiderman... atleast I think it was.
’’ one last breath’’ has some interesting lyrics .. great music ... incredible video with a really deep meaning ... and one hell of a good voice to sing it.
what set CREED apart??
The guitar work was good .. but it was not legendary ... Drums were good ... but no one listens to the song for drums ! The voice was good ... so what there have been others ... richard marx was one with a great voice. I think the ESP of the band was their lyrics ... some branded them christian .. but they were not so .. The lyrics were simple in structure .... and ones that could be related to by others ... That is what set the band apart ... I mentioned guitar, drums and voice ... alone they are nothing .. but together .. they make CREED ... They make legend. Creed is a legend .. no longer just a band ... a legend ...
