"A wednesday"

"A man from a middle class family goes out in the morning to earn the family’s livelihood, the wife calls him up a number of times a day asking whether he has taken his lunch, tea…etc just to make sure that he is alive and is expected to return home safe."

The fear of a bomb blast has become a common notion in every Indian family. Each day they pray and thank God for the day has been safe and the destiny has not made them a part of such a painful situation. The poor people are helpless. The joys associated with a Diwali or Dusherra or Eid do not make them ecstatic anymore, for the fear of the uncertain is always there at the back of their mind.

The movie is based on an incident where a similar middle class man goes entirely on a different way.  Being fed up by the daily terror, he decides to take the ball completely in his court. This man is Naseeruddin Shah who calls him self as the "stupid common man". Anupam Kher plays the role of the senior police officer who handles the situation.

A beautifully designed, structured and organised movie it is. There are no songs and no romance, but has got something which is definitely worth watching.
