When I went to watch thought it will be just low budget movie, but it really surprised me. The movie starts as any ordinary movie just threatening police commissioner to blow the city if he does not release four most notorious terrorists and the entire administration, in turn, turning all its resources up-side-down. We’ve seen this and a lot more in Hollywood. But, when you take this basic plot, add some very basic action to it, cast the most wonderful cast you could have, you have me arrested - not wanting to blink once.
I like to observe how the titles of a movie are done, because in a way, it’s a measure of how much respect the decision makers have for their crew.
Cast performance
Every performance in Wednesday is charged. Jimmy Sheirgill is first-rate as a volatile cop. Of late, the actor has been wasted in insipid roles and it’s about time film-makers take a note of this talented actor. Aamir Bashir is superb, Deepal Shaw plays her part confidently .
On the whole, A Wednesday is cinema at its best. It may not be a Kinng-sized entertainer to lure the audiences in hordes and set the box-office afire, but AWednesday does pack in king-sized punch. Do yourself a favour: Watch A Wednesday.Anupam Kher and the common man Naseeruddin Shah played his role superb.
