Weighty Problem- a perennial search for Right Solu

I am no medical practitioner to make a professional analysis and perhaps a medical remedy for weight related problem, mostly obesity. But, I certainly can comment on some issues that affect us from our life styles and in turn lead us what physical unfitness and often to obesity.


When young, our activities meet physical energy level and hence any intake including so-called junk food do not cause serious harm. But, it starts affecting our metabolism and with time and climbing age, it keeps on telling upon our health. Frequent and untimely eating habits? both are bad.


If our body is reckoned with a machine which converts food inputs into energy to keep us mobile and energetic, it needs to be right balance. Any fuel does not provide the motive force to propel a machine. Even if it does, it harms often. So also is our health.


We all fascinate to have a beautiful figure to attract people and also to add to our personality. This is universal and the search for the solution is never ending. But what is the personality? It is some total of what one is and physical attributes are one aspect. Physique without brain is no good. It is true other way round also. Old saying? Health is wealth? is great maxim. What we need is good health for physical fitness and to keep illness at bay!


Good health is not necessarily being slim or figure consciousness?which primarily is the domain of fair sex. Now-a-days lot many ava garde male counter parts are known to be equally figure conscious. No harm if it provides physical fitness rather the looks, which with time changes.


Good eating habits and exercise matching with age, physical stature and medical history will serve the purpose. Little bit of putting on weight due to food indulgence or shedding the flab through exercise(by burning extra calories) should be okay for our normal life, unless your profession demands stringency like for film stars, TV personalities etc. Individual power of endurance and susceptibility to illness vary and hence each of us need to have a customized menu for balance diet.


A word of caution for so-called medicines and food products(as claimed to be) introduced from the Western world to fight against obesity. This may suit some and may not others. So we need not be carried away by the hype, but should be pragmatic to manage and maintain a good health with physical fitness to endure stress and strain in our everyday living so that we can work effectively and enjoy life fully throughout our life span. That should be our motto.
