If you are a Durjoy Datta fan & expecting his usual style of writing then you will be disappointed with this book. He has deviated from his usual fun, romcom way & took an emotional path. So here is a warning to sit with a box of tissues when you read this book. Most part of the book invokes so much emotions that you can’t stop the tears rolling down.
The story is about Devrat & Avanti. Devrat is a student who has no interest in studies & is a struggling singer. Avanti is his biggest fan even before Devrat becomes quite popular. He is good at playing guitar, composing & singing his songs. Avanti is a talkative, lively & a beautiful air-hostess. She shows signs of being timid because she doesn’t have enough courage to ask her ex-boyfriend to buzz off from her life or address the silence between her & her father. But this story is about how they both meet, fall in love & how she puts up a brave front when Devrat encounters a deadly accident & when it comes to handling the battle of life & death. Love can make you do crazy things sometimes.
Avanti comes across as an obsessed lover for most part of the story but she also makes you understand what unconditional love really means. I only wish the pain was not dragged so much in the book. Anyway good luck to readers in being a cry baby;-)
