I had been to the consumer expo at Shivajinagar Pune about 4-5 months back. The whirlpool stall was setup by Mahavir Electronics who have multiple shops in pune viz Bibwewadi, Kothrud and more.
I paid the token amount and then the refrigerator was not delivered in next 3 days as promised. The reasons were strange.’Tempo nahi hai, labour nahi hai’. I also offered him to pay for tempo and labour. I had moved to a new house and desperately wanted Refrigerator.
When we called the shop they always asked many purchase details and said we’ll call you back. They never did.
Eventually it was delivered. The next day the whirlpool installation guy came but refused to do installation because the condenser was physically damaged.
I immediately notified it to the electronic shop. They said that was the last piece in that type and the same is not available anywhere.
I called up whirlpool customer care but they are even worst. No good response. I called up whirlpool head office and took number of a person who heads customer service in pune. That guy said he can not look into dealer issues. Then I somehow reached the sales head of this region. He was rude by asking who gave you my number and all. He patched in customer service head. Both started fighting on the call that its your mistake.
Meanwhile the situation was worse at my place. I was not keeping well and did not even had cooling for medicines neither I could afford to go out every now and then to get milk. Juice was out of question.
Even after telling about my condition the sales guy was playing ping pong with Mahavir Electronics.
They kept fighting and I kept calling both.
I got the replacement after 1 month of follow up.
Meanwhile the Mahavir’s owner was so rude as he was telling me that I have done no favor on him by purchasing from his store.
I still can not decide who was worst of them, Mahavir or whirlpool staff.
My advise is NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM MAHAVIR ELECTRONICS IN PUNE. Even if costs you more outside, go there. Save yourself
