Recently replaced the earlier washing machine(videocon vna 400 T, purchased in 1989) with this one. It is the best in its class and has everything that you would look for. In short, truly value for money.
Features/Technical Details

=>Built in Heater for Hotwash- upto 45 degree centigrade. Makes it easier to clean clothes in winter. Detergents work best at a certain temperature and this should be a necessary feature in any Washing machine.

=>Memory Backup upto 12 hours. Ideal for Indian conditions where there are frequent power cut. It keeps your wash program in memory and restarts it if there was a power cut for less than 12 hours :)

The machine
It looks good. Can be bought for its looks alone but wait, this beauty is a monster machine with 535 watts of motor power. It has everything that you will desire in a fully automatic washing machine.
It is easy to use. Rat mesh and other such normal features are very obviously there. Its steel tub makes it a sturdy product which promises to last at least a decade. It does not need the dirt collector bag which is required in most washing machines to collect the dirt while washing clothes.
The in-built water heater is a very good feature. It is available in Haier products too but then you can’t really be sure about a brand that has been around (in India) for just few months. Whirlpool has a good network of service centres across the country which makes it a better buy.
It’s 1-2 1-2 wash action makes use of the agitator. It will require some getting used to if you have not had an experience with a similar washing machine. The problem is not with the ease of use but the perception. Agitator makes the tub look a bit smaller than it actually is but trust me, it is better to have an agitator to get sparkling clean clothes.
It’s touch buttons are appropriately placed on the front panel. The size of the important/ mostly used buttons is bigger than the other ones. It is easy to program even for a person who may not know English.
This machine has everything!
It may be too early to pass a judgement but I am sure of one thing - It IS value for money.
