I had seen this product on the shelves and often wondered about it - and at $0.99 bottle I thought, ’’how can I go wrong’’?! I have used other bargain brands of shampoo and conditioner before with reasonable success (Suave, generic store brand equivalents, etc.).
I decided to try both the White Rain shampoo and conditioner and was immediately put off by the scent - I can only describe it as both sweet and acrid at the same time.
The product worked about as well as most bargain shampoos, perhaps slightly worse due to the after-effects of using it.
The texture of my hair was not great after regular drying and styling. It was dry, full of static and not soft and manageable, despite having used the conditioner.
I would not recommend this product for dry or colour-treated hair. Having my hair smell great is part of the shampoo experience for me, therefore I would not buy this product again.
