I have read his previous bestseller "The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari" and this book "Who will cry when you die ?" is in similar thought process. But, unlike his earlier book, this one doesnt really have a story woven into the concept of living happily and leading a life of contentment. The "Who....die?" book is more prescriptive and has tons of dos and donts which many may find daunting to practice, as it demands lot of self-discipline and perseverance. However, it may make for a great self-help book for people who are going through a rough patch in life, or those who are feeling disoriented with life in general. This book should help define their purpose in life and how to pursue their ambitions while contributing to the larger good of society.
Unlike other books I have read in the past, this book by Robin Sharma (like his previous ones) doesnt sermonize or preach religious faith. Instead of leaving everything to Almighty, it exhorts the reader to take charge of his / her life and be responsible for his / her actions. It implores the reader to find his / her own calling in life, and urges them to have pursue a life of contentment for himself and others around him. He guides the reader through a series of dos and donts to stay focused and achieve greater happiness for all.
Finally, I would recommend this book for those who wish to introspect on their life, seeking their purpose in life, and who wish to make a difference to others lives. The book should inspire those in the fast-paced corporate world to rethink their purpose and ambitions in life (much like "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari") and try to contribute to society at large while pursuing their personal career ambitions.
