Heh heh... ever watched a show and felt that half an hour is too short a time. Thats the feeling I get when I watch Whose Line Is It Anyway. This show is stand-up comedy at its best.
This review is dedicated to an ex-girlfriend whose name I cant remember. All I know is that she only laughed when I paid for the ice cream. I also dedicate this to the vice-principal of the college I studied in - he didnt laugh when I told him I was sick for 30 days and thats why I missed classes.
Although its not a new show, the channel stills airs it at 4:30 PM. And even though there are reviews on it, this happens to be one of my favourite shows, so I cant pass the opportunity to jot some lines.

The Show
============================
Drew Carey: Welcome to Whose Line Is It Anyway, the show where alls made up and the points dont matter. Thats right... points are like underwear in a nudist camp.
Drew Carey, the brilliant bespectacled comedian is the anchor / host / object of Ryan Stiles jokes of the show. Hes the one who assigns tasks to the four talented individuals who joke, mime, narrate, imitate, mock, tease, taunt, tantalize, dance, prance, sing, leap, run around and entertain. And its all - IMPROMPTU - on the spot! (read footnote)
Envy the studio audience. They get to see the whole thing first hand.
============================
How It Works
============================
Drew picks up an envelope from a set. Each envelope contains a game. Drew then calls out one or more of the four participating comedians to come out and act out or improvise a scene in a given time. After a bunch of games have been done with, Drew announces a winner. No prizes, but they get to sit on Drews chair while Drew joins in on the fun.
The winner gets to do something with Drew Carey...

The Games
============================
Im going to take one of the games and play it by myself.
Hoedown
This game is fun. The audience suggests something and the contestants sing a verse that they make up on the spot based on that suggestion. They are accompanied by the shows musicians.
Lets do a hoedown on Mouthshut (piano music... plink plink plink plinkity plink plink plink plink plink)
Contestant 1: psyxx
I like to write a review
I think its oh so cool
It might be useful to you
or you can call me fool
Im writing just for kicks
I dont care what you rate this
so if you are a pretty chick
Ill settle for a kiss (heh heh heh heh heh)
Contestant 2: psyxx again
Well mouthshut is a nice place
I made so many friends
some of them like my face
others think Im dense
I like to hang out with you
cos we have loads of fun
but now its time to go to the loo
so ill just have to run
Contestant 3: three psyxxs... not bad
They labeled me star writer
but I dont give a hoot
Ill still be the same writer
Ill munch a bunch of fruit
Ill write a mental review
and hope you get a smile
to me thats my point of view
Ill stick with the crazy style
Contestant 4: you know who...
Well mouthshut is a website
where writers breed and thrive
it provides you insight
like honey from a hive
the writers here are real cool
they love to read and write
me, I flunked writers school
i cannot spel kwite rite
CANNOT SPEL KWITE RITEEEEEEEEE....
Heres something useful. If you ever throw a party and run out of games to play, play some of the Whose Line games. Check this website for a list: https://geocities.com/Hollywood/2549/wlgamesframe.html

Those Talented Folks
============================
You get to see the following talent on this show:
* The inimitable Drew Carey as the host
* The tall and extremely funny Ryan Stiles who has acted in movies like Hot Shots
* The magnificent Wayne Brady who can virtually improvise on anything.
* The man of a thousand expressions - Colin Mochrie
The fourth person varies most times and the show has featured some real cool stand-up comedians like Chip Esten (hes great with the improvised songs), Kathryn Greenwood, Greg Proops, Brad Sherwood, Kathy Griffin and the beautiful Denny Siegel.
Laura Hall, a wonderful pianist and Linda Taylor, the guitarist, provide the music to back the comedians when they improvise. These ladies are extremely talented.
============================
Not for Minors
============================
Most stand-up comedians use language and gestures that are not suitable for kids. Although this is cool in an all-adult environment, Id keep the kids away from this show. Not for people who have virgin minds either ;)
Thats all!

Footnote:
I said ON THE SPOT. Now, most shows have some amount of pre-show preparations. They even plant people in the audience to call out suggestions that the cast have already prepared for. Most times, the gags are all premeditated like in Magic shows. Im not sure if this is the case with Whose Line Is It Anyway but who cares - it can make you laugh and thats all that counts.
