Learn how to treat a customer

I visited the William Penn store in Phoenix mall, Chennai and enquired about the pilot namiki vanishing point pen, the in experienced female attendant gave me a cheap look as though I had asked for a Reynolds ballpoint in a luxury store, also then I enquired about the refill for my caran d’ache 849 gold pen, the attendant replied first you buy a pen, then we’ll see about refill. William Penn kindly Google first and update your knowledge of pens, also try to know the difference between a serious customer and a casual window shopper. What kind of response does the attendant give to a person who is asking a model specific refill? Do also take some lessons in learning about customer service. I was one of the few to rush to William Penn to buy a Lamy safari pen when I heard it had opened up in Chennai, is this even any way to treat a customer?
